For me the glamorous lure of blisters, muddy boots, heavy rucksacks, getting caught in the rain, being cold, wet and hungry in search of the finest scenery and walking exhilaration this small island has to offer.
And that’s the appeal – the get-away-from-it-all sheer beauty of the as yet undiscovered parts of the UK – an island as diverse in its scenery as you could possibly discover.

Feel free to join me on my journey as I put one foot in front of another with friends, family, or on my own over the next 15 years and 2,800 or so miles.
